The 2017 Summer Youth Volunteer campaign of Tien Giang launched

On the morning of June 2, the Steering Board of the 2017 Summer Youth Volunteer campaign of Tien Giang held the launching ceremony of the 2017 Summer Youth Volunteer campaign.

This year’s summer youth volunteer campaign under the theme of “Youth join hands in building new-style rural areas and civilized urban areas” aims at line-up of voluntary activities, including the construction of road with security light, dredging canal, concretizing rural road, presenting gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers and poor students, building new-style rural areas and civilized urban areas, giving free-of-charge medical check-ups and medicine to disadvantaged people, etc...

This year’s summer youth volunteer campaign took place from June 1 to Agust 20, 2017 with the participation of more than 1,000 youth volunteers from universities, colleges at Tien Giang, Can Tho city, Ho Chi Minh city and the youth of the armed forces, etc…

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Chairman of Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Duc said that the campaign must be organised on a large-scale throughout the nation in diversified forms to attract youth participation. He suggested that the departments and unions should actively collaborate implementation action programs set out as well as regularly monitor and support voluntary youth forces to make this year’s summer youth volunteer deeply and practical.
