8,365 laborers got job in first six months

ABO - According to the Tien Giang provincial People’s Committee, in the first six months of 2019, 8,365 laborers got job, reaching 41.8% of the plan; in which 160 labors went to work abroad under contract, reaching 106.7% of the plan, increasing 63.3% over the same period.

Besides, the province helped over 5,815 laid-off workers to receive unemployment benefits with a total payment of over 80.4 billion VND, up 23.6% over the same period.

Besides, the vocational education institutions in the province have recruited 3,050 apprentices under 3 months (of which 980 apprentices supported with training), reaching 33.9% of the plan, up 50% over the same period.

In the coming time, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs will continue to provide consultancy and guidance on the implementation of labor legislation to laborers and employers; to regularly coordinate with the propagation and dissemination of labor legislation.
