Art programme marking 75 years of President Ho Chi Minh's appeal for patriotic emulation

ABO/NDO- The Dai Bieu Nhan Dan (People's Deputies) Newspaper held an art programme at the Hanoi Opera House on June 3 to mark 75 years since President Ho Chi Minh issued an appeal for patriotic emulation (1948-2023) and the newspaper’s 35th anniversary (1988-2023).

Themed ‘Glory Fatherland Vietnam’, the programme saw the participation of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and leaders of National Assembly, Government, Fatherland Front, ministries, and sectors.

In her opening remark, Editor-in-Chief of the Dai Bieu Nhan Dan Newspaper Pham Thi Thanh Huyen said that the programme aims to encourage and duplicate patriotic emulation movements in the way President Ho Chi Minh did 75 years ago.

The event is also expected to inspire national pride, self-reliance, and solidarity among Vietnamese people, particularly the young generation, in order to build a strong, prosperous, and happy Vietnam.

Through the performances of popular singers such as Thanh Lam, Tan Nhan, Anh Tho, Le Anh Dung and Thang Loi, the songs and dances at the programme praised great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and paid tribute to the services of those who laid down their lives for peace and national independence.

A reportage entitled ‘Targeting a strong Vietnam’ was also screened at the event, highlighting the joint actions of the Vietnamese Party, Government, National Assembly, army, and people for the further development of Vietnam.
