Vice President Doan meets outstanding entrepreneurs

Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan hosted a meeting with the families of businesspeople and contributors to the August Revolution in 1945 as well as with the most outstanding entrepreneurs of 2015 in Hanoi on March 5 on the occasion of Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day, October 13.

At the reception, Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan expressed her sincere thanks appreciation to the families of businesspeople before August Revolution for theirwho made significant contributions to the August Revolution as well as the country’s socio-economic development.

Despite many difficulties in the past years, Vietnamese the entrepreneurs and their enterprises have made gained many significant achievements, creating thousands of jobs, actively participating in poverty reduction programmes, building social housing, and presenting gifts to policy beneficiaries, among others.

 

VP Doan asked the business community to increase information exchanges, improve market research, promote the application of science and technology in order to increase productivity, and focus on training young workers.

 

70 years ago, President Ho Chi Minh sent a letter on October 13 to all businesspeople across throughout the country to calling on them to make efforts to seize the absolute independence for the country, as well as work to build the a stable and prosperous economy. October 13 was then chosen as the Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day.
