Typical science and technology intellectuals honoured

ABO - On the occasion of the Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18), the PPC held a meeting of science and technology intellectuals of Tien Giang province and honored the doctorate, the typical science and technology intellectuals of the province.

This event saw an attendance of Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong, Deputy Chairman of the PPC Tran Thanh Duc, representatives of intellectuals, doctors and masters working and researching science and technology at many departments of Tien Giang province.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the traditional days of Vietnam Science and Technology Day, raising the spirit and responsibility of the social community for the cause of science and technology in general, to honor the process of labor, creativity and dedication of the Vietnamese science and technology intellectuals. This is a great day for science and technology to honor the staff of scientific research and technological development, to raise social awareness about the important role of science and technology in life and in the development of the country.

On this occasion, the PPC honoured 18 new PhDs, awarding 16 outstanding scientific intellectuals. Up to now, Tien Giang province has 59 PhDs, outstanding intellectuals who have contributed much to the development of science and technology in Tien Giang province.

The Tien Giang Union of Science and Technology Associations presnted souvenirs to PhD Le Van Huong, PhD Tran Thanh Duc and 15 other PhDs who have many contributions to scientific research in 2016-2017.

Speaking to the scientific and technological knowledge team, Chairman of the PPC Le Van Huong hoped the knowledge staffs as masters and doctors actively involved in the work of reviewing projects on socio-economic development of Tien Giang province, especially the project of economic development of key areas and the Dong Thap Muoi development project. The PPC always creates favorable conditions and encourages the team to select the appropriate schools to promote the passion for research and contribute to the development of Tien Giang province.
