People in Thoi Son commune commented on many issues such as: environmental pollution; administrative reform; rural transport works were not ensured, the situation of high-interest loans became more and more complicated as well as the situation of insecurity, making people very worried; public land issues have not been publicized, leading to the situation of public land being occupied, etc...

People also proposed urgent issues in the locality but the time for settling of branches and localities was still slow.

In particular, many people commented on the increasing number of illegal sand mining, increasingly sophisticated acts, mainly taking place at night affected people's life, as well as causing landslides in some places, etc... People wanted authorities to have strong solutions to illegal sand mining.

Deputy Chairman of the Tien Giang provincial People's Committee Le Van Nghia affirmed: Meeting people will be a regular job of the authorities to listen to people's thoughts and aspirations, making people really satisfied. The government from the grassroots level satisfies the people's petitions so that there will be no complaints over the level; at the same time, he recommended the relevant departments and agencies to answer and solve people's suggestions in the shortest time.

Besides, he hoped that people would join hands with local authorities to strive to build Thoi Son commune to meet the new rural standard.
