In the past years, the tourism industry of the province has achieved positive results, maintaining a good growth rate, contributing to the overall growth of the province. The total number of visitors to Tien Giang ranked the fifth in 13 provinces, cities of the Mekong Delta. Besides achievements, the tourism industry of the province has showed many limitations not to develop appropreately to the position and tourism potential of the province. To implement the Resolution of the 10th Party Congress of Tien Giang province in order to make a breakthrough development of tourism province to 2020, 2030 vision, it is necessary to make tourism truly become business important, contributing to the construction and development of Tien Giang province.

Through this workshop, Tien Giang province will issue the Resolution on tourism development of Tien Giang Province to 2020 with a vision to 2030 with the main tasks and solutions such as raising awareness of tourism development: To formulate policies to support and invest in the development of tourism, to restructure the tourism industry to ensure professionalism, modernity and sustainable development. To invest in the development of infrastructure and material and technical foundations for the promotion of tourism development, to promote tourism promotion, training human resources for tourism and to enhance the capacity of state management in tourism.
