Accordingly, the general planning on An Huu urban area until 2030 plays the role of an economic, cultural, social and service center of the urban area in the southwest of Cai Be district and Tien Giang province. The planning and development of An Huu urban is based on the combination, inheritance, renovation and new construction, ensuring the sustainable development of the city, contributing to improving people's lives.

An Huu urban area is planned on the entire administrative boundary of An Huu commune, Cai Be district with a natural area of 1,411.36 hectares, with a current population of over 20,000 people.

In order to bring An Huu to a grade 5 urban standard by 2020, it is expected that An Huu commune will be invested to build a 10-hectare residential area project, renovate and upgrade the existing administrative area.
