According to calculations, each 1 billion USD of investment needs 10,000 workers, including about 3,000 high-quality workers. In addition, Hai Phong is anticipated to establish one or two innovation centres in the near future. Thus, cooperation with Hanoi University of Science and Technology, one of the largest training institutions in the country, will contribute to solving the above problem.

Associate Professor, Dr. Huynh Quoc Thang, Director of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, said that each year the university trains about 35,000 students, including about 2,200 students from Hai Phong and 2,100 from Hai Duong, accounting for 12% of the total number of students. The university focuses on priority areas such as intelligent information systems, new energy, and health sciences.

He affirmed that the signing of the MoU between the university and enterprises in the Hai Phong Economic Zone will help bring the university closer to enterprises and this cooperation will benefit both sides.

Enterprises also shared some issues, such that the university needs to focus on training so that graduates can quickly adapt to the actual conditions at enterprises.
