Safe vegetable cooperatives increase vegetable productions for Tet market

The safe vegetable cooperatives in Go Cong town have focused on increasing vegetable and fruit supply for the market of Tet Lunar Year 2018.

According to the safe vegetable cooperatives, this year's crop was relatively favorable thanks to the application of intensive farming methods VietGap standards in all the fields. Inspite of the erratic weather, vegetables of the members were not affected. Vegetables such as: spinach, amaranth, bitter melon, cucumber, etc.... were sold with a price from VND4,000 to VND10,000/kilogram. The price of vegetables is predicted to reach the high price from VND12,000 to VND14,000 VND/kilogram on Tet Lunar Year.

In order to have sufficient sources of vegetables and fruits to supply to the Tet market this year, from the beginning of January, 2018, the cooperatives have increased their production from 400 to 500 kg/day, increased 30% of vegetable production for supplying to the market. Especially, the cooperatives focused on great importance to the production of food safety, 100% of the members of the cooperative produced in accordance with VietGap standards. In particular, the cooperatives have books to monitor and manage the origin of vegetables.
